VIEJA DENTRO II

“Viaje Dentro” (Journey Within) is a Bull&Rose Travel totem. While creating these pieces I couldn’t help but consider my current journey occurring within myself. Like the world around us, there are undiscovered places inside myself that lay in waiting. My cancer diagnosis has shined a light on many of those places and and brought them to the forefront of my mind. Fears, strengths, insecurities..all bound to my spirit in one way or another, how I respond to each is like traveling to a new country in many ways. Where I thought I was strong, I have found weakness and where I thought I would be weakest, I’ve found strengths. I try and handle all of it with as much grace as possible. 
These 2 travel totems have many beads, but one stem attaches them all. I don’t try and separate the good from bad, I take it all in and accept that their places within me hold meaning for different moments.
